Sometimes I collect a natural object simply because its shape makes me stop and look more closely.
This unusual seed pod was one of those finds.
I no longer know exactly which plant it came from, possibly something from a desert landscape, but I loved its wonderfully sculptural form enough to preserve it in sterling silver.
Nestled into the casting is a tiny 2mm Sleeping Beauty turquoise, adding an unexpected point of blue among all that organic silver texture.
A little found treasure made into another kind of keepsake.
